First Post- Iron Man 3

Alright First Post, kinda nervous, alright so I just watched IM3 today. A lot of things to say about this movie. i loved it! Which i find weird since I didn't enjoy IM and IM2 as much. Maybe it was cause of Shane Black directing or Robert Downey's attachment to the characters growth.
Instead of writing a detailed summary, I'm just going to write the good and bad about the movie.

The good

The Mark 42! This is the first time an emotional connection is displayed between Tony and his suit.''The prodigal son returns'' one of my favourite moments of the movie. The character development of Tony, by the end of the film you actually notice the change in maturity of the character, he has grown up. The many number of suits i bet that got all the IM fan boys hyper as hell! I almost cheered in my seat in excitement. Happy Hogan, loved his relationship attachment with Tony, almost reminded me of Candler and Joey. The plot twist!!! I know this got many fans mad, but me, I'm a sucker for plot twists! it was brilliant! Making Sr.Ben Kingsley portray his Mandarin as an actor, at one moment he's a scary guy, a terrorist shrouded in mystery and then the next moment you're in your seat laughing. I kinda understand the message the movie was trying to send, the message that for any organisation that the face that appears on it isn't really the one pulling the strings. Guy Pearce, hats off you brilliant bastard. I had been following his interviews before the movie posted on Comic Book Resources, and this guy is like " oh stuff like Iron Man is just cameo type stuff, I'm not really in the movie a lot, blah blah" and this guy portrays a great villain and actor. [ example- Chris Nolan's Memento]. My favourite scene would be when Tony goes all James Bond attacking the mansion with gadgets he made himself. The extremis soldiers, liked em a lot, really reminded me of the T1000 from Terminator 2 so no complaints there. Lotta funny moments specially with the Kid and Rhodes, Iron Patriot..meh Osborn wore it better

The bad 

Well, err one of my main problems with the movie was Pepper, why cant Tony ever defeat a villain on his own! I mean Pepper, great portrayal, funny and emotional. Good. Defeating both the villains of  Iron Man one and three...Meh. Also i almost burst into tears when Tony blew up all the suits like fireworks! sniff.. and also when the Mark 42 self destructs. The humour felt overused,

 Overall

This was a good movie, it felt consistent, a natural sequel or progression. Amazed by the new characters and the growth of the old ones. it was really enjoyable, uneven balance of the funny and seriousness. great action, brilliant dialogue definitely a movie i would spend money on to watch again.Hope to see

RDJ in Avengers 2 but i hope they don't continue with more Iron Man films, this was a good trilogy. 8/10
